Grennia has a unique dialect of English, mostly influenced by British English but also with some influence from American English.

The Grennian accent sounds a lot like the Received Pronunciation (RP) accent of British English, but with a few key differences.
1. The "long o" sound like in boat is pronounced how it is in American English. (IPA: /oʊ/)
2. The distinction between unstressed /ɪ/ (short i sound) and /ə/ (schwa) is lost, so unlike in the RP accent words such as "again" and "include" are homophones.
3. The nearer-mirror and hurry-furry mergers do exist.
