The birth rate in Grennia has declined in recent years, primarily owing to
a growing cost of living and aging population.
Since 2005, the
birth rate has decreased steadily, owing to the worldwide trend of many
developed nations having fewer children.
To combat the falling
birthrate, Grennia has been giving 65,000 GND to new parents (35,000 GND
for parents having more than one child) along with a "birth
bundle" since 2018.
The birth bundle is provided free of
charge by the Grennian government, and is heavily based on the "baby
box" from Finland. It is a large box which contains diapers, a
diaper bag, picture books, a growsuit, muslin wrap, a soft blanket, and
various baby toys.
